A sourcing catalogue buyers can quote from

A Canadian sourcing desk needed buyers to find a specific grade of product, verify its specification, and request a quote without a phone call first. We built the catalogue and the brief that goes with it.

Forward Feed — A sourcing catalogue buyers can quote from

The problem

A sourcing desk sells on specification. Buyers arrive knowing the grade, the certification and the volume they need, and they leave immediately if a site cannot confirm those things. A brochure site with a contact form loses that visitor to a competitor's spec sheet.

The second problem is the enquiry itself. A generic "get in touch" form produces messages with no volume, no destination and no certification requirement attached, which means every enquiry costs a round of email before it can even be priced.

Two pillars, one catalogue

We structured the site around the two things the business actually sources — aquaculture and agriculture — and gave every product its own specification page rather than a row in a table. Each page carries the detail a buyer checks before enquiring, so the page itself does the qualifying work.

Above the products sit sourcing-solution pages: the landing surfaces for buyers who search by the problem they have rather than by the product name.

A brief instead of a contact form

The enquiry path is a structured quote brief. It asks for volume, destination and certification requirements at the point of interest, so a request arrives priceable rather than as an opening question. That single change is the difference between an inbox of introductions and an inbox of deals.

Built to be found on specification terms

High-intent sourcing searches are long and specific. Per-SKU pages with real specification content, clean internal linking from the solution pages down to the products, and correct technical foundations give those queries something exact to match — which a single catalogue page never can.

Stack

  • Static site with per-SKU specification pages
  • Structured quote brief with volume, destination and certification capture
  • Technical SEO foundation — internal linking, structured data, performance

What was delivered

  • A two-pillar catalogue where every product has its own specification page.
  • Sourcing-solution landing pages that route problem-led searches to the right products.
  • A quote brief that arrives with volumes and certifications already attached.

Search and enquiry volumes are held back until a full reporting period has passed; we publish measured numbers, not projections.
